Welcome to ScriptEaze! These terms govern your use of our application and services. By creating an account, you agree to these legally binding terms.

2. Your Content is Your Content

You retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights to the scripts, notes, characters, and all other content you create in ScriptEaze ("User Content"). We do not claim any ownership rights to your User Content. Our access to your User Content is limited to what is strictly necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the service, or as required by law.

3. Your Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use ScriptEaze.

4. AI-Powered Features

ScriptEaze provides features powered by artificial intelligence ("AI Features") to assist you. You understand and agree that:

• AI-generated suggestions are tools, not directives. The output may contain inaccuracies, and you are solely responsible for the final creative choices in your work.
• When you use an AI Feature, the relevant text from your script is sent to our AI service provider (Google) to generate a response. This data is processed to provide the service and is not used to train their models or for any other purpose.
• You must not use the AI Features to generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.

5. Service Availability and Data Loss Disclaimer

Our service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. While we employ industry-standard technologies and practices (like Firebase) to ensure the reliability and security of your data, we cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Crucially, ScriptEaze is not an archival service and is not liable for any loss of data, including the deletion, corruption, or failure to store any of your User Content. You are solely responsible for maintaining independent backups of your work. We strongly recommend regularly exporting your scripts in PDF or FDX format to prevent data loss.

6. Termination of Service

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease. You can terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall ScriptEaze, its directors, or employees, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes (for example, via email or an in-app notification), and your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
